UniCredit Bank Slovakia API Access & Open Banking
Pulling your UniCredit Bank (Slovakia) balances and transactions into one place shouldn't require a bank partnership, a compliance certificate, or a stack of paperwork. open-banking.io gives you regulated PSD2 access to UniCredit Bank alongside 2,600+ other EU and UK banks, and every byte of account data is decrypted locally with a key that never leaves your device. UniCredit Bank supports both business and personal accounts, and a single approval keeps your connection live for up to 180 days before you re-confirm. (No BIC is published for this reference — you select the bank by name, not by code.)
How to connect UniCredit Bank
Connecting happens entirely inside the open-banking.io dashboard — there is no API call, code, or key involved in linking your account:
- Sign up at open-banking.io and open your dashboard.
- Set an encryption passphrase. Your key pair is generated right there on your own device; open-banking.io only ever stores your public key.
- Pick UniCredit Bank (Slovakia) from the bank list and choose whether you're linking a business or personal account.
- Approve on UniCredit Bank's own login. You're redirected to the bank's secure consent screen, where you authenticate and grant access directly to UniCredit Bank — your credentials are never seen by open-banking.io.
- Watch your accounts sync back into the dashboard, ready to view.
Access your data
Once the connection exists, reading it programmatically is an optional developer step. On the Developers page, create an API key and export a credentials.json bundle — it carries your API key and your private decryption key. From there use the CLI (openbanking accounts, openbanking transactions, openbanking sync), an SDK, or the REST API. Every request sends the X-Api-Key header, and each response is decrypted locally with your own key. That's the whole point of the zero-knowledge design: an API key on its own returns only ciphertext — without your private key, there's nothing readable to steal.
All of this runs for roughly EUR 3/month, with no certificates to obtain and no per-bank integration to build.
Do I need a developer setup to use UniCredit Bank?
No. Connecting and viewing accounts is dashboard-only. The CLI, SDK, and API just read connections you've already made.
How long does my UniCredit Bank consent last?
Up to 180 days, after which you re-approve access on the bank's consent screen.
Can open-banking.io read my UniCredit Bank data?
No. Data is decrypted on your device with a key only you hold; the service stores only your public key.
