Access your data

Once Sparbanken Eken is connected, developers can optionally read the data programmatically. On the Developers page, create an API key and export a credentials.json bundle — this holds your API key and your private decryption key. From there use the CLI (openbanking accounts, openbanking transactions, openbanking sync), an SDK, or the REST API directly.

Every request sends the X-Api-Key header, and every response is decrypted locally with your own key. Without that private key an API key alone returns only ciphertext — which is exactly why open-banking.io can stay zero-knowledge. The CLI and SDK only read and sync connections you already approved; they never create one.

Is a certificate or QWAC required?

No. open-banking.io handles the PSD2 licensing, so you connect Sparbanken Eken without any certificate or regulatory paperwork of your own.
