Sidensjö Sparbank API Access & Open Banking

Reach your Sidensjö Sparbank accounts through open-banking.io, a certificate-free bridge to 2,600+ EU and UK banks. There are no eIDAS certificates to buy and no bank-side developer registration to chase — you link Sidensjö Sparbank (BIC SWEDSESS) once in your dashboard and your balances and transactions become available to you. Both business and personal account types are supported, and each PSD2 consent stays valid for up to 180 days before you re-approve.

Everything is zero-knowledge. Your encryption keys are generated on your own device from a passphrase you choose, so open-banking.io only ever holds your public key. Your financial data is decrypted locally — the servers never see it in the clear.

How to connect Sidensjö Sparbank

Connecting happens entirely in the open-banking.io dashboard — there is no API call, code, or key involved in this step.

  1. Sign up for open-banking.io and set your encryption passphrase. Your private decryption key is created locally and never leaves your device.
  2. In the dashboard, choose Sidensjö Sparbank and select whether you are linking a business or personal account.
  3. You are redirected to Sidensjö Sparbank's own secure login, where you approve access on the bank's consent screen (standard PSD2 authorisation).
  4. Once approved, your accounts sync back into your dashboard automatically.

That consent lasts up to 180 days, after which you simply repeat the approval to keep the connection live.

Access your data

Reading data programmatically is an optional developer step you take after the account is already connected. On the Developers page, create an API key and export a credentials.json — this file bundles your API key together with your private decryption key. From there, use the CLI (openbanking accounts, openbanking transactions, openbanking sync), an SDK, or the REST API.

Every request carries your key in the X-Api-Key header, and each response is decrypted locally with your private key. An API key on its own returns only ciphertext — without the decryption key held on your device, no one, including open-banking.io, can read a thing. The CLI and SDK only read and sync connections you have already made in the dashboard.

All of this runs at around EUR 3/month.

Do I need an eIDAS certificate?

No. open-banking.io is certificate-free — you never buy or manage a QWAC/QSeal to reach Sidensjö Sparbank.

Can open-banking.io read my Sidensjö Sparbank data?

No. The service is zero-knowledge and stores only your public key; decryption happens on your device with a key only you hold.

Pick Sidensjö Sparbank in the dashboard and select the business account type, then approve on the bank's consent screen — the same flow as a personal account.
