INGO Mastercard API Access & Open Banking

Reaching your INGO Mastercard data used to mean chasing PSD2 certificates and bank-specific paperwork. open-banking.io removes that overhead: it links to INGO Mastercard (Sweden) through a single, certificate-free service covering 2,600+ European banks. You approve access once, your accounts sync, and everything is decrypted locally with a key that never leaves your device.

INGO Mastercard issues personal accounts, so the flow below is built for individual cardholders reviewing their own spending. There is no published BIC for this card (BIC n/a), and a granted consent stays valid for up to 180 days before you re-approve.

How to connect INGO Mastercard

Connecting happens entirely inside the open-banking.io dashboard — no code, no API key, no developer setup:

  1. Sign up for open-banking.io and set your encryption passphrase. Your keys are generated right there on your own device.
  2. In the dashboard, search for INGO Mastercard and choose the personal account type.
  3. You are redirected to INGO Mastercard's own secure login to approve access under PSD2.
  4. Once you confirm on the card issuer's consent screen, your accounts and transactions sync back into your dashboard.

That's the whole connection. open-banking.io only ever holds your public key, so the servers can store your synced data but can never read or decrypt it.

Access your data

After INGO Mastercard is connected, developers can optionally read the data programmatically. On the Developers page, create an API key and export a credentials.json — this bundles the API key together with your private decryption key. From there use the CLI (openbanking accounts, openbanking transactions, openbanking sync), an SDK, or the REST API. Every request carries the X-Api-Key header, and each response is decrypted locally with your own key. An API key on its own only ever returns ciphertext, which keeps the whole pipeline zero-knowledge.

All of this runs for roughly EUR 3/month, with no certificates and no per-bank contracts.

Do I need a Mastercard developer account?

No. You connect INGO Mastercard through the open-banking.io dashboard and approve access on the issuer's own login page — no separate developer program required.

Up to 180 days. After that window, simply re-approve access from your dashboard to keep the data flowing.

Can open-banking.io see my transactions?

No. Your data is decrypted only on your device with a private key you hold. The service stores just your public key, so it cannot read your card activity.
