Circle K EXTRA Mastercard Open Banking & API Access

Your Circle K EXTRA Mastercard rewards fuel purchases and everyday spending across Sweden — and with open-banking.io you can pull that card's balance and transaction history into one private, developer-friendly place. open-banking.io is a certificate-free EU/UK open-banking service covering 2,600+ banks and card issuers, built so that only you can read your own financial data.

Because everything is decrypted locally with a key held solely on your device, no one at open-banking.io ever sees your Circle K EXTRA Mastercard statements — the servers store only your public key.

How to connect Circle K EXTRA Mastercard

Connecting happens entirely in the open-banking.io dashboard — there is no API call, code, or key involved in the connection itself:

  1. Sign up for open-banking.io and set your encryption passphrase. Your keys are generated on your own device, so your decryption key never leaves it.
  2. In the dashboard, pick Circle K EXTRA Mastercard and choose the personal account type.
  3. You are redirected to Circle K EXTRA Mastercard's own secure login and consent screen, where you approve access under PSD2.
  4. Once approved, your card accounts sync back into your dashboard automatically.

Consent lasts up to 180 days, after which you simply re-approve on the card's consent screen. There is no BIC to enter for this issuer (BIC n/a).

Access your data

After your card is connected, reading the data programmatically is an optional developer step. On the Developers page, create an API key and export a credentials.json — this bundles your API key with your private decryption key. From there you can use the CLI (openbanking accounts, openbanking transactions, openbanking sync), an SDK, or the REST API.

Requests authenticate with the X-Api-Key header, and every response is decrypted locally with your own key. An API key alone only ever returns ciphertext — without your private key, the data stays unreadable. Note the CLI and SDK only read and sync existing connections; they cannot connect a bank.

All of this runs for around EUR 3/month.

FAQ

Do I need a developer certificate to connect?

No. open-banking.io is certificate-free. You approve access on Circle K EXTRA Mastercard's own consent screen — no eIDAS certificate or bank onboarding paperwork required.

Can open-banking.io read my card transactions?

No. It is zero-knowledge: your data is decrypted only on your device with a key you alone hold. The servers store just your public key.

How long does my connection stay active?

Up to 180 days per consent. When it expires, re-approve on the card issuer's consent screen to resume syncing.
