CEMAH Angra do Heroísmo Open Banking & API Access
Caixa Económica da Misericórdia de Angra do Heroísmo (CEMAH) is the credit institution of the Santa Casa da Misericórdia in the Azores, serving members and businesses across Angra do Heroísmo. If you want a clean, private way to pull your CEMAH balances and transactions into one place, open-banking.io gives you PSD2 access without certificates, sandboxes, or bank-by-bank paperwork — and without ever handing your financial data to a third party in readable form.
Every account you link is encrypted with keys generated on your own device. open-banking.io stores only your public key, so the service itself can never see inside your data. That is what "zero-knowledge" means here: decryption happens locally, under a passphrase only you hold.
How to connect Caixa Económica da Misericórdia de Angra do Heroísmo
Connecting is done entirely in the open-banking.io dashboard — there is no API call, code, or key involved in this step.
- Sign up at open-banking.io and set your encryption passphrase. Your key pair is created right there in your browser; the passphrase never leaves your device.
- In the dashboard, search for Caixa Económica da Misericórdia de Angra do Heroísmo (BIC CEMAPTP2XXX) and choose your account type — business or personal.
- You are redirected to CEMAH's own secure login, where you approve access on the bank's PSD2 consent screen. open-banking.io never sees your banking credentials.
- Your approved accounts sync back into the dashboard automatically. Consent lasts up to 180 days, after which you simply re-approve at the bank.
Access your data
Want to work with the data in code? That is an optional step you take after connecting. On the Developers page, create an API key and export a credentials.json — it bundles the API key with your private decryption key. From there use the CLI (openbanking accounts, openbanking transactions, openbanking sync), an SDK, or the REST API. Every request carries the X-Api-Key header, and each response is decrypted locally with your own key. Note that the API key alone only ever returns ciphertext; without your private key, there is nothing readable to see. The CLI and SDK read and sync existing connections — they never create one.
FAQ
Do I need an eIDAS certificate or developer registration?
No. open-banking.io is certificate-free. You sign up, set a passphrase, and approve access on CEMAH's consent screen — no QWAC/QSEAL, no regulator onboarding.
Can open-banking.io or its servers read my CEMAH data?
No. The service holds only your public key. Your accounts are decrypted on your device with a key only you possess, so nobody else — including open-banking.io — can read them.
What does it cost to access CEMAH?
Around EUR 3 per month covers access to CEMAH and 2,600+ other EU and UK banks, including both the dashboard sync and the optional developer tooling.
