Requests authenticate with the X-Api-Key header, and every response is decrypted locally with your own key. Without that private key an API key alone returns only ciphertext.

Because the architecture is zero-knowledge, open-banking.io's servers store only your public key and can never read or decrypt what syncs through them. All of this costs about EUR 3/month, with no certificate paperwork.
