Alior Bank Poland API Access & Open Banking
Alior Bank is one of Poland's larger retail and corporate banks, and open-banking.io lets you reach its account and transaction data through a single, certificate-free service. There is no eIDAS certificate to buy, no bank-specific sandbox to register with, and no PSD2 licence of your own to obtain. You approve access once, and your Alior Bank accounts appear in your dashboard — personal and business alike — ready to view or pull into your own tools.
Everything stays private by design. open-banking.io is zero-knowledge: your data is encrypted to a key generated on your own device, and the servers only ever hold your public key. What arrives on our side is ciphertext, decrypted locally when you read it.
How to connect Alior Bank
Connecting happens entirely in the open-banking.io dashboard — there is no API call, code, or key involved in this step.
- Sign up for open-banking.io and set your encryption passphrase. Your keys are created locally, on your device.
- In the dashboard, choose Alior Bank from the bank list and pick the account type you want to link — business or personal.
- You are redirected to Alior Bank's own secure login, where you approve access under PSD2. Your credentials go only to the bank.
- Once approved, your accounts sync back into your dashboard automatically.
Each approval covers a consent window of up to 180 days, after which you simply re-approve on Alior Bank's screen. (Alior Bank does not publish a single BIC for this integration, so none is required from you.)
Access your data
Viewing accounts in the dashboard needs nothing further. If you're a developer and want programmatic access, that's an optional step after connecting. On the Developers page, create an API key and export a credentials.json — which bundles the API key together with your private decryption key. From there use the CLI (openbanking accounts, openbanking transactions, openbanking sync), an SDK, or the REST API. Requests authenticate with the X-Api-Key header, and every response is decrypted locally with your own key. Without that private key, an API key alone returns only ciphertext.
The service runs at around EUR 3/month, covering 2,600+ EU and UK banks.
