Reading your Voss Sparebank account and transaction data has traditionally meant wrestling with eIDAS certificates and direct PSD2 registrations. open-banking.io removes that overhead: it is a certificate-free, zero-knowledge service covering 2,600+ EU and UK banks, including Voss Sparebank — the local savings bank serving the Voss region since 1843. Both business and personal account types are supported, and a single approval grants read access for up to 180 days before you renew.

Everything is built around privacy. Your encryption keys are generated on your own device, so data flowing back from Voss Sparebank is decrypted locally — open-banking.io's servers only ever hold your public key and can never read your balances or transactions.

How to connect Voss Sparebank

Connecting happens entirely inside the open-banking.io dashboard — there is no API call, code, or key involved in this step:

  1. Sign up for open-banking.io and set your encryption passphrase; your private key is created locally in your browser.
  2. In the dashboard, choose Voss Sparebank and select whether you're linking a business or personal account.
  3. You're redirected to Voss Sparebank's own secure login, where you approve the PSD2 consent directly with the bank.
  4. Your accounts sync back into the dashboard, ready to view.

Voss Sparebank does not publish a BIC in our directory, so there's nothing extra to look up — just pick it by name.

Access your data

Once a connection exists, developers can optionally read it programmatically. From the Developers page, create an API key and export a credentials.json — this bundles the API key with your private decryption key. Then use the CLI (openbanking accounts, openbanking transactions, openbanking sync), an SDK, or the REST API. Requests authenticate with the X-Api-Key header, and every response is decrypted locally with your key. Without that private key, the API key alone returns only ciphertext. The CLI and SDKs read and sync existing connections — they never create one.

Do I need an eIDAS certificate for Voss Sparebank?

No. open-banking.io is certificate-free — the dashboard handles the PSD2 consent flow for you.

Can open-banking.io see my Voss Sparebank transactions?
