  2. In the dashboard, search for and select Vekselbanken, then choose the account type you want to link (business or personal).
  3. You are redirected to Vekselbanken's own secure login, where you approve access on the bank's PSD2 consent screen — your credentials stay with the bank.
  4. Once approved, your Vekselbanken accounts sync straight into your dashboard, ready to view.

Because Vekselbanken has no BIC listed here, simply pick it by name in the dashboard rather than searching by identifier.

Access your data

Want to pull Vekselbanken data into your own code? That is an optional developer step you take after the connection above exists. On the Developers page, create an API key and export a credentials.json — it bundles your API key together with your private decryption key.

From there you can use the CLI (openbanking accounts, openbanking transactions, openbanking sync), an SDK, or the REST API. Requests authenticate with the X-Api-Key header, and every response is decrypted locally with your own key. The CLI and SDK only read and sync connections you already made in the dashboard — there is no connect command, and an API key alone returns only ciphertext without your private key.

Do I need a certificate or bank licence?

No. open-banking.io is certificate-free — you approve access on Vekselbanken's consent screen and nothing else is required.
