Ørskog Sparebank API Access & Open Banking Data
Ørskog Sparebank is a local savings bank in Sjøholt, Møre og Romsdal, serving personal and business customers across the region. With open-banking.io you can reach your Ørskog Sparebank balances and transactions through a single, privacy-first service that covers 2,600+ European banks. Everything is decrypted locally with a key only you hold — open-banking.io is zero-knowledge and certificate-free, so there is no eIDAS certificate to buy and no bank data ever readable on our servers.
How to connect Ørskog Sparebank
Connecting happens entirely in the open-banking.io dashboard — there is no API call, code, or key involved in linking your bank.
- Sign up for open-banking.io and set your encryption passphrase. Your keys are generated on your own device, so only you can unlock your data.
- In the dashboard, pick Ørskog Sparebank and choose your account type — both business and personal accounts are supported.
- You are redirected to Ørskog Sparebank's own secure login to approve access under PSD2. You grant consent directly on the bank's screen — your credentials never touch open-banking.io.
- Your accounts sync into the dashboard. Consent lasts up to 180 days, after which you simply re-approve on the bank's screen.
Access your data
Reading the data programmatically is an optional step after you have connected. From the Developers page, create an API key and export a credentials.json — this bundles the API key together with your private decryption key. You can then use the CLI (openbanking accounts, openbanking transactions, openbanking sync), an SDK, or the REST API. Requests authenticate with the X-Api-Key header, and every response is decrypted locally with your own key. The CLI and SDK only read and sync connections you already made in the dashboard — they never establish a new one. Ørskog Sparebank does not publish a BIC in our directory, so none is required to connect.
All of this runs for about EUR 3/month.
Do I need an eIDAS certificate?
No. open-banking.io is certificate-free — you never buy or manage a PSD2 certificate to reach Ørskog Sparebank.
Can open-banking.io read my Ørskog Sparebank data?
No. The service is zero-knowledge and stores only your public key. Without your private decryption key, an API key alone returns ciphertext only.
How long does access last?
Each consent is valid for up to 180 days, then you re-approve on Ørskog Sparebank's own login screen.
