Drangedal Sparebank Open Banking & API Access

Reaching your Drangedal Sparebank account data no longer means wrestling with PSD2 certificates or bespoke bank integrations. open-banking.io gives you a single, unified way into 2,600+ EU and UK banks — including this Telemark savings bank — with your data decrypted locally using a key that only you hold. Both business and personal accounts are supported, and a single consent stays valid for up to 180 days before you renew it.

How to connect Drangedal Sparebank

Connecting happens entirely inside the open-banking.io dashboard — there is no API call, code, or key involved in this step.

  1. Sign up at open-banking.io and set an encryption passphrase. Your encryption keys are generated on your own device, so the service never sees them.
  2. In the dashboard, pick Drangedal Sparebank from the bank list and choose the account type you want to link — business or personal.
  3. You are redirected to Drangedal Sparebank's own secure login, where you approve access on the bank's PSD2 consent screen.
  4. Once approved, your accounts sync straight into your open-banking.io dashboard, ready to view.

Because approval takes place on the bank's own screen, your credentials are never shared with anyone else. Drangedal Sparebank has no published BIC in our directory, but none is needed — the dashboard handles routing for you.

Access your data

Want to read your data programmatically? That is an optional step after connecting. Open the Developers page, create an API key, and export a credentials.json — this bundles the API key together with your private decryption key. From there use the CLI (openbanking accounts, openbanking transactions, openbanking sync), an SDK, or the REST API. Requests authenticate with the X-Api-Key header, and every response is decrypted locally with your own key. Note the CLI and SDK only read and sync connections you already made in the dashboard — they never establish a new one.

The whole service is zero-knowledge and certificate-free: open-banking.io stores only your public key, so it can never read or decrypt your Drangedal Sparebank data. All of this runs for roughly EUR 3/month.

Does open-banking.io store my banking password?

No. You authenticate directly on Drangedal Sparebank's own consent screen, and open-banking.io never sees your login credentials.

Can I access both business and personal accounts?

Yes. Both account types are supported — choose which one to link when you pick the bank in the dashboard.

How long does a connection last?

Up to 180 days per consent. When it expires, simply re-approve access from the dashboard to keep syncing.
