BCC Romagnolo API Access & Open Banking Data Sync

Reaching your BCC Romagnolo account data no longer means wrestling with certificates, bespoke bank integrations, or a self-hosted PSD2 gateway. open-banking.io gives you one dashboard that speaks to BCC Romagnolo — Credito Cooperativo Romagnolo, the cooperative bank serving Cesena, Sarsina and the wider Romagna region — alongside 2,600+ other EU and UK institutions. Both business and personal account types are supported, and a single consent stays valid for up to 180 days before you renew it. BCC Romagnolo does not publish a widely-used BIC for this purpose, so none is required on your side.

Everything you see is decrypted locally with a key only you hold. open-banking.io stores your public key and nothing more, so it is structurally unable to read your BCC Romagnolo balances or transactions.

How to connect BCC Romagnolo

Connecting happens entirely inside the open-banking.io dashboard — there is no API call, code, or key involved in this step:

  1. Sign up for an open-banking.io account.
  2. Set your encryption passphrase. Your key pair is generated right on your own device.
  3. In the dashboard, search for and select BCC Romagnolo, then choose the account type — business or personal.
  4. You are redirected to BCC Romagnolo's own secure login and consent screen, where you approve access under PSD2.
  5. Your accounts sync back into the dashboard, ready to view.

That consent is what carries the 180-day window; when it lapses, you simply re-approve on the bank's screen.

Access your data

Once BCC Romagnolo is connected, reading it programmatically is an optional developer step. On the Developers page, create an API key and export a credentials.json — it bundles the API key with your private decryption key. From there use the CLI (openbanking accounts, openbanking transactions, openbanking sync), an SDK, or the REST API. Requests authenticate with the X-Api-Key header, and every response is decrypted locally with your own key. The CLI and SDK only read and sync connections that already exist — they never create one. An API key on its own returns ciphertext; without your private key, it stays unreadable.
