BCC Mediocrati API Access & Open Banking Data

Reaching BCC Mediocrati account data no longer means wrestling with sandbox registrations, eIDAS certificates or bespoke PSD2 gateways. open-banking.io gives you one covered path to your BCC Mediocrati balances and transactions across 2,600+ EU and UK banks, with every figure decrypted on your own device using a key only you hold.

BCC Mediocrati (Banca di Credito Cooperativo Mediocrati, the Calabrian cooperative bank based in Rende) supports both business and personal accounts through open-banking.io. Access consent lasts up to 180 days before BCC Mediocrati asks you to re-authorise, and no published BIC is required on your side to get started.

How to connect BCC Mediocrati

Connecting happens entirely inside the open-banking.io dashboard — there is no API call, code or key involved in linking an account:

  1. Sign up for open-banking.io and set your encryption passphrase. Your keys are generated locally on your device, so the passphrase never leaves it.
  2. In the dashboard, choose BCC Mediocrati and pick the account type you want to link (business or personal).
  3. You are redirected to BCC Mediocrati's own secure login, where you approve access under PSD2 — the bank authenticates you directly, and open-banking.io never sees your credentials.
  4. Once approved, your BCC Mediocrati accounts sync into your dashboard and refresh for the life of the 180-day consent.

Access your data

After the account is connected, developers can optionally read it programmatically. On the Developers page, create an API key and export a credentials.json — this bundles the API key together with your private decryption key. From there use the CLI (openbanking accounts, openbanking transactions, openbanking sync), an SDK, or the REST API. Requests carry your key in the X-Api-Key header, and each response is decrypted locally with your private key. The CLI and SDK only read or sync connections that already exist — there is no connect command.

Because open-banking.io is zero-knowledge, its servers hold only your public key: an API key alone returns ciphertext, never readable data. That is the certificate-free privacy model, for roughly EUR 3/month.
