Banca d'Alba Open Banking API Access | open-banking.io

Banca d'Alba is a Piedmontese cooperative credit bank rooted in the Langhe and Roero. If you hold an account there and want your balances and transactions in one place — or piped into your own tooling — open-banking.io gives you PSD2-based access without certificates, sandboxes, or a bank-by-bank integration project. It covers 2,600+ EU and UK banks and keeps a single principle throughout: your financial data is decrypted on your own device, with a key that never leaves it.

Banca d'Alba supports both personal and business accounts, and open-banking.io consent lasts up to 180 days before you re-approve. There is no published BIC for Banca d'Alba in our directory, but you never need one — you select the bank by name in the dashboard.

How to connect Banca d'Alba

Connecting happens entirely inside the open-banking.io dashboard — there is no API call, code, or key involved in this step.

  1. Sign up for open-banking.io and set your encryption passphrase. Your keys are generated locally on your device; the service only ever holds your public key.
  2. In the dashboard, search for Banca d'Alba and choose the account type you want to link — personal or business.
  3. You're redirected to Banca d'Alba's own secure login, where you approve access on the bank's PSD2 consent screen.
  4. Once approved, your accounts sync back into the dashboard and stay refreshed for the 180-day consent window.

Because approval happens on Banca d'Alba's own page, open-banking.io never sees your banking credentials.

Access your data

Reading Banca d'Alba data programmatically is an optional step you take after connecting. On the Developers page, create an API key and export a credentials.json — this bundles the API key together with your private decryption key. From there you can use the CLI (openbanking accounts, openbanking transactions, openbanking sync), an SDK, or the REST API. Requests authenticate with the X-Api-Key header, and every response is decrypted locally with your own key. The CLI and SDK only read and sync connections you've already made — they never establish new ones. An API key on its own returns ciphertext; without your private key, nobody can read it.

The whole service runs at roughly EUR 3/month.
