Because open-banking.io is zero-knowledge, your financial data is encrypted with a key generated on your own device. The service only ever holds your public key, so nobody — not even open-banking.io's servers — can read your Allianz Bank Financial Advisors data. Only you can decrypt it.

How to connect Allianz Bank Financial Advisors

Connecting happens entirely in the open-banking.io dashboard — there is no API call, code, or key involved in this step.

  1. Sign up and set an encryption passphrase. Your encryption keys are created locally on your device.
  2. In the dashboard, choose Allianz Bank Financial Advisors and select the account type you hold — business or personal accounts are both supported (BIC BKRAITMMXXX).
  3. You're redirected to Allianz Bank Financial Advisors's own secure login to approve access under PSD2. Your credentials go only to the bank.
  4. Once approved, your accounts sync into your dashboard. A single consent lasts up to 180 days, after which you simply re-approve.

Access your data

After your accounts are connected, developers can optionally read the data programmatically. On the Developers page, create an API key and export a credentials.json — this bundles the API key together with your private decryption key. Then use the CLI (openbanking accounts, openbanking transactions, openbanking sync), an SDK, or the REST API. Requests authenticate with the X-Api-Key header, and every response is decrypted locally with your own key — the API key alone only ever returns ciphertext. The CLI and SDK read and sync existing connections; they never create one.

All of this runs for about EUR 3/month.

Do I need a developer certificate?

No. open-banking.io is certificate-free. You approve access on Allianz Bank Financial Advisors's consent screen and you're done.

Can open-banking.io read my transactions?

No. It stores only your public key. Data is decrypted on your device with a private key that never leaves it.

How long does access last before renewal?

Each PSD2 consent is valid for up to 180 days, after which you re-approve in the dashboard.
