Arion banki API Access & Open Banking Data | open-banking.io
Reaching your Arion banki account data no longer means wrestling with certificates, sandbox registrations, or a bespoke PSD2 integration. open-banking.io gives you a single dashboard that speaks to 2,600+ European banks — Arion banki (BIC ESJAISREXXX) among them — and keeps every byte of your financial data encrypted with a key that never leaves your device. The service is zero-knowledge by design: our servers only ever hold your public key, so nobody but you can turn your synced statements back into readable numbers.
How to connect Arion banki
Connecting is done entirely in the open-banking.io dashboard — there is no code, endpoint, or API key involved in this step.
- Sign up for an open-banking.io account.
- Set an encryption passphrase. Your cryptographic keys are generated locally on your own device at this moment.
- In the dashboard, search for and select Arion banki, then choose the account type you want to link — business or personal are both supported.
- You are redirected to Arion banki's own secure login, where you approve access under PSD2. open-banking.io never sees your banking credentials.
- Your Arion banki accounts sync straight into your dashboard. A single consent stays valid for up to 180 days before Arion banki asks you to renew it.
Access your data
Once Arion banki is connected, developers can optionally read the data programmatically. Open the Developers page, create an API key, and export a credentials.json — this bundles your API key together with your private decryption key. From there, use the CLI (openbanking accounts, openbanking transactions, openbanking sync), an SDK, or the REST API directly. Every request carries the X-Api-Key header, and each response is decrypted locally with your own key. An API key on its own only ever returns ciphertext, so your data stays private even in transit. Note that these tools read and sync connections you already made in the dashboard — there is no connect command.
All of this runs on a flat subscription of roughly EUR 3/month, with no per-bank certificate fees.
Does open-banking.io store my Arion banki login?
No. You authenticate on Arion banki's own consent screen; we never receive or store your bank credentials.
Can open-banking.io read my account data?
No. It is zero-knowledge — our servers hold only your public key. Decryption happens on your device with a private key only you possess.
How long does my Arion banki consent last?
Up to 180 days per approval, after which you re-authorise directly with Arion banki.
