Eurobank API Access & Open Banking (Greece) | open-banking.io

Reaching your Eurobank (Greece) account data no longer means wrestling with bank sandboxes, eIDAS certificates or a PSD2 licence. open-banking.io gives you a single, privacy-first bridge to Eurobank and 2,600+ other EU and UK institutions. Whether you hold a personal or business account, you connect once and your balances and transactions flow into a dashboard that only you can read.

The defining trait is zero-knowledge design. Your encryption keys are generated on your own device from a passphrase you choose, so open-banking.io stores only your public key and never sees your statements in the clear. Combined with the certificate-free onboarding, it turns a normally heavyweight integration into something you set up in minutes.

How to connect Eurobank

Connecting happens entirely inside the open-banking.io dashboard — there is no API call, code or key involved in this step.

  1. Sign up for an open-banking.io account.
  2. Set your encryption passphrase; your private key is created locally and never leaves your device.
  3. In the dashboard, choose Eurobank (BIC ERBKGRAA) and select the account type you hold — business or personal.
  4. You are redirected to Eurobank's own secure login, where you approve the PSD2 consent directly with the bank.
  5. Your accounts sync back into the dashboard, ready to view.

Consent under Eurobank lasts up to 180 days, after which you simply re-approve on the bank's screen to keep the connection live.

Access your data

Once Eurobank is connected, reading the data programmatically is an optional developer step. Open the Developers page, create an API key and export a credentials.json — this bundles the API key together with your private decryption key. From there use the CLI (openbanking accounts, openbanking transactions, openbanking sync), an SDK, or the REST API. Requests carry your key in the X-Api-Key header, and every response is decrypted locally with your own key — an API key on its own returns only ciphertext.

FAQ

Do I need a Eurobank developer account or certificate?

No. There are no certificates and no bank developer registration. You approve access on Eurobank's standard login through the dashboard.

Can the CLI connect my Eurobank account for me?

No. The CLI, SDK and API only read and sync connections you have already approved in the dashboard. There is no connect command.

How much does it cost?

Access is roughly EUR 3 per month, covering Eurobank and every other supported bank.
