Société Générale API Access & Open Banking Data
Want a single, private place to see your Société Générale (France) balances and transactions? open-banking.io links your Société Générale personal account to a dashboard you fully control, then keeps it in sync. Because the platform is zero-knowledge and certificate-free, there is nothing to install on a bank server and no eIDAS certificate to obtain — your data is encrypted on your own device and only you hold the key to read it back.

How to connect Société Générale
Connecting happens entirely inside the open-banking.io dashboard — no code, API call, or key is involved.
- Sign up for open-banking.io and set your encryption passphrase. Your keys are generated locally, so the passphrase never leaves your device.
- In the dashboard, search for Société Générale and choose the personal account type (Société Générale is supported for personal accounts here).
- You are redirected to Société Générale's own secure login to review and approve the request (standard PSD2 consent).
- Once approved, your accounts flow back into the dashboard and begin syncing.
Your consent stays valid for up to 180 days, after which you simply re-approve on Société Générale's screen. Note that a BIC is not listed for this connection, but none is needed — you select the bank by name in the dashboard.
Access your data
Prefer to work with the data programmatically? That's an optional step after the bank is connected. Open the Developers page, create an API key, and export a credentials.json — it bundles the API key with your private decryption key. From there use the CLI (openbanking accounts, openbanking transactions, openbanking sync), an SDK, or the REST API directly.
Every request carries your X-Api-Key header, and every response is decrypted locally with your own key. open-banking.io's servers store only your public key, so they can never read your Société Générale data. An API key on its own returns ciphertext — without your private key it stays unreadable.
Is my Société Générale login shared with open-banking.io?
No. You authenticate on Société Générale's own consent screen; open-banking.io never sees your banking credentials.
Do I need a developer account to connect?
No. Connecting and syncing is done in the dashboard. The API key and CLI are only for optional programmatic access afterward.
