Resurs Bank (Finland) Open Banking & API Access

How to connect Resurs Bank

Connecting happens entirely in the open-banking.io dashboard — there is no API call, code, or key involved in this step.

  1. Sign up for open-banking.io and set your encryption passphrase. Your keys are generated on your own device, so nobody else (including us) can decrypt what comes back.
  2. In the dashboard, pick Resurs Bank (Finland) and choose the account type. Resurs Bank supports personal accounts here.
  3. You're redirected to Resurs Bank's own secure login to approve access (the standard PSD2 consent screen). You authenticate directly with the bank — your credentials never touch open-banking.io.
  4. Once approved, your accounts sync into your dashboard. Consent lasts up to 180 days, after which you simply re-approve on Resurs Bank's screen.

Resurs Bank (Finland) has no BIC listed, so there's nothing extra to enter — just select it from the list.

Access your data

After your Resurs Bank connection is live, developers can optionally read it programmatically. On the Developers page, create an API key and export a credentials.json — this bundles the API key and your private decryption key. From there use the CLI (openbanking accounts, openbanking transactions, openbanking sync), an SDK, or the REST API directly.

Requests authenticate with the X-Api-Key header, and every response is decrypted locally with your own key. The CLI and SDK only read and sync connections you already made in the dashboard — there's no connect command. An API key on its own returns ciphertext; without your private key it stays unreadable.

All of this runs for around EUR 3/month, with no certificates and no per-bank contracts.

Does open-banking.io ever see my Resurs Bank data?

No. It's zero-knowledge — data is decrypted on your device with a key only you have. Our servers hold just your public key.

Can I connect Resurs Bank from the CLI?

No. Connecting is a dashboard-only flow that redirects you to Resurs Bank's consent screen. The CLI only reads existing connections.

How long does access last?
