Ruralnostra, the Castellón-based cooperative in the Grupo Caja Rural network (BIC BCOEESMM138), keeps its account data behind its own PSD2 login. open-banking.io gives you a certificate-free path to reach it — for both business and personal accounts — without wrestling with eIDAS certificates, sandbox registrations or bank-specific API paperwork. Everything you retrieve is decrypted on your own device with a key only you hold, so open-banking.io never sees your Ruralnostra balances or transactions in the clear.

How to connect Ruralnostra

Connecting happens entirely inside the open-banking.io dashboard — there is no API call, code or key involved in this step:

  1. Sign up for open-banking.io and set your encryption passphrase. Your keys are generated locally on your device; the servers only ever store your public key.
  2. In the dashboard, search for Ruralnostra and choose the account type you want to link — business or personal.
  3. You're redirected to Ruralnostra's own secure login, where you approve access on the bank's official PSD2 consent screen. This authorisation lasts up to 180 days, after which you simply reconfirm.
  4. Your Ruralnostra accounts then sync into your open-banking.io dashboard, ready to view.

Access your data

Once Ruralnostra is connected, developers can optionally read the data programmatically. On the Developers page, create an API key and export a credentials.json — it bundles the API key together with your private decryption key. From there use the CLI (openbanking accounts, openbanking transactions, openbanking sync), an SDK, or the REST API directly. Every request carries the X-Api-Key header, and each response is decrypted locally with your own key. The key alone only returns ciphertext — without your private key, nobody (including open-banking.io) can read a thing.

Do I need a certificate to access Ruralnostra?

No. open-banking.io handles the regulated PSD2 access for you, so there are no eIDAS or QWAC certificates to obtain or renew.

Can open-banking.io see my Ruralnostra transactions?

No. The service is zero-knowledge — it holds only your public key. Decryption happens on your device with a private key that never leaves it.
