Caixapetrer API Access & Open Banking Data | open-banking.io
Reaching your Caixapetrer account data used to mean chasing PSD2 certificates and building a compliant client from scratch. open-banking.io removes that entire burden. It links to Caixapetrer (BIC CCRIES2A029) through a single, privacy-first dashboard and lets you view both business and personal accounts without touching a line of regulatory infrastructure. Because it is a zero-knowledge service, your financial data is decrypted only on your own device with a key nobody else holds — not even open-banking.io.
How to connect Caixapetrer
Connecting happens entirely inside the open-banking.io dashboard — there is no API call, code, or key involved in this step.
- Sign up for open-banking.io and set your encryption passphrase. Your cryptographic keys are generated locally on your device the moment you do.
- In the dashboard, search for Caixapetrer and choose the account type you want to link — business or personal.
- You are redirected to Caixapetrer's own secure login, where you approve access on the bank's official PSD2 consent screen. Consent lasts up to 180 days before you renew it.
- Your approved accounts sync straight into your dashboard, ready to view.
No certificate, no onboarding paperwork, no waiting on a bank sandbox.
Access your data
Once Caixapetrer is connected, developers can optionally read the data programmatically. Open the Developers page, create an API key, and export a credentials.json file — this bundles the API key together with your private decryption key. From there use the CLI (openbanking accounts, openbanking transactions, openbanking sync), an SDK, or the REST API. Every request carries the X-Api-Key header, and each response is decrypted locally with your own key. An API key alone only ever returns ciphertext — without your private key, the data stays unreadable, which is exactly how zero-knowledge is meant to work.
All of this runs for around EUR 3/month, certificate-free, across 2,600+ EU and UK banks.
Is my Caixapetrer data readable by open-banking.io?
No. The service stores only your public key and holds your data as ciphertext. Decryption happens on your device with a key only you control.
Do I need an API key to connect Caixapetrer?
No. Connecting is done entirely in the dashboard via Caixapetrer's consent screen. API keys are only for the optional developer read step afterwards.
How long does my Caixapetrer consent last?
Up to 180 days per the PSD2 standard, after which you re-approve access from the dashboard.
