Jyske Bank API Access & Open Banking Integration

Reaching your Jyske Bank data no longer means wrestling with eIDAS certificates or a bespoke bank sandbox. open-banking.io gives you PSD2-based access to Jyske Bank — one of Denmark's largest banks — alongside 2,600+ other institutions across the EU and UK, all behind a single subscription. Both business and personal Jyske Bank accounts are supported, and each authorisation stays valid for up to 180 days before you re-approve it.

The distinction that matters: open-banking.io is zero-knowledge. Your account data is encrypted with a key generated on your own device, and our servers only ever hold your public key. Even when data is synced, we cannot read it — only you can decrypt it locally.

How to connect Jyske Bank

Connecting happens entirely in the open-banking.io dashboard — there is no code, endpoint, or API key involved in this step.

  1. Sign up for open-banking.io and set your encryption passphrase. Your keys are created locally in your browser at this moment.
  2. In the dashboard, search for and select Jyske Bank, then choose the account type — business or personal.
  3. You are redirected to Jyske Bank's own secure login, where you approve access on the bank's official PSD2 consent screen.
  4. Control returns to your dashboard and your Jyske Bank accounts and transactions sync automatically, encrypted under your key.

That's the whole flow — you authorise directly with Jyske Bank, and nobody redirects the account holder on your behalf.

Access your data

Programmatic access is an optional developer step, only after a connection exists. On the Developers page, create an API key and export a credentials.json — this bundles the API key and your private decryption key. From there you can use the CLI (openbanking accounts, openbanking transactions, openbanking sync), an SDK, or the REST API. Requests authenticate with the X-Api-Key header, and every response is decrypted locally with your own key. Note that the CLI and SDK only read or sync connections you already made in the dashboard — there is no connect command, and an API key without your private key returns only ciphertext.

All of this runs for roughly EUR 3/month, certificate-free.

Does Jyske Bank have a BIC on open-banking.io?

No BIC is required or listed here — you select Jyske Bank by name in the dashboard.

Up to 180 days per authorisation, after which you simply re-approve on Jyske Bank's consent screen.

Can open-banking.io see my Jyske Bank transactions?

No. It's zero-knowledge — data is decrypted only on your device with a key we never hold.
