Access your data

Open the Developers page, create an API key, and export a credentials.json — this bundles the API key together with your private decryption key. From there you can use the CLI (openbanking accounts, openbanking transactions, openbanking sync), an SDK, or the REST API. Requests authenticate with the X-Api-Key header, and every response is decrypted locally with your own key. The CLI and SDK only read and sync connections you already made in the dashboard — they cannot create a connection. Note that an API key alone returns only ciphertext; without your private key the data stays unreadable.

open-banking.io is certificate-free and zero-knowledge by design: its servers hold only your public key and can never decrypt what you store. All of this is included for roughly EUR 3/month.

Does open-banking.io store my Circle K EXTRA Mastercard login?
