BankNordik Danmark API Access & Open Banking

Pulling your BankNordik Danmark balances and transactions into your own tools no longer means wrestling with bank certificates or a PSD2 licence. open-banking.io connects to BankNordik Danmark alongside 2,600+ other EU and UK banks, and every byte of account data is decrypted locally with an encryption key that only you hold. BankNordik Danmark supports both business and personal account types. Consent you grant lasts up to 180 days before BankNordik Danmark asks you to re-approve, and no BIC is required to set the connection up.

How to connect BankNordik Danmark

Connecting happens entirely inside the open-banking.io dashboard — there is no API call, code, or key involved in this step:

  1. Sign up for open-banking.io and set your encryption passphrase. Your keys are generated right there on your own device.
  2. Open the dashboard and pick BankNordik Danmark from the bank list, then choose business or personal.
  3. You are redirected to BankNordik Danmark's own secure login to approve access under PSD2. Your credentials only ever touch the bank.
  4. Once you confirm on the bank's consent screen, your accounts sync straight back into your dashboard.

That is the whole flow — approve once at BankNordik Danmark, and your data appears in your dashboard.

Access your data

Want to read the data programmatically? That is an optional step after connecting. On the Developers page, create an API key and export a credentials.json — it bundles the API key together with your private decryption key. From there the CLI (openbanking accounts, openbanking transactions, openbanking sync), an SDK, or the REST API let you pull your BankNordik Danmark data. Requests carry the X-Api-Key header, and every response is decrypted locally with your own key. Without that private key an API request returns only ciphertext — the servers cannot help anyone read it.

All of this runs from about EUR 3/month, with no certificate paperwork.

Does open-banking.io store my BankNordik Danmark login?

No. You authenticate on BankNordik Danmark's own screen; open-banking.io never receives your banking credentials.

Can I connect a BankNordik Danmark business account?

Yes. Both business and personal account types are supported — you choose which when picking the bank in the dashboard.

Up to 180 days, after which BankNordik Danmark prompts you to renew access.
