Stadt- und Kreissparkasse Leipzig API Access & Open Banking
Reach the balances and transaction history behind your Stadt- und Kreissparkasse Leipzig accounts without wrestling with eIDAS certificates or bespoke bank integrations. open-banking.io gives you regulated PSD2 access to the Leipzig savings bank (BIC WELADE8LXXX) across both business and personal accounts, and hands the decryption keys to you alone. Your data is unscrambled on your own device, so no server — not even ours — can read it.
How to connect Stadt- und Kreissparkasse Leipzig
Connecting happens entirely inside the open-banking.io dashboard, not through any API call or key:
- Sign up for open-banking.io and set your encryption passphrase. Your keys are generated locally on your device — we only ever hold your public key.
- In the dashboard, choose Stadt- und Kreissparkasse Leipzig and pick the account type you want to link (business or personal).
- You're redirected to Stadt- und Kreissparkasse Leipzig's own secure login, where you approve access on the bank's PSD2 consent screen — your credentials are never seen by us.
- Your accounts sync back into the dashboard, ready to view. Consent lasts up to 180 days, after which you simply re-approve.
Access your data
Reading the data programmatically is an optional developer step that comes after the connection exists. On the Developers page, create an API key and export a credentials.json bundling that key with your private decryption key. From there use the CLI (openbanking accounts, openbanking transactions, openbanking sync), an SDK, or the REST API. Every request carries the X-Api-Key header, and each response is decrypted locally with your own key — an API key on its own returns only ciphertext. The CLI and SDK read and sync existing connections; they never create one.
Privacy and pricing
The model is zero-knowledge and certificate-free: no QWAC/QSEAL to buy, no plaintext leaving your machine. Coverage spans 2,600+ EU and UK banks for around EUR 3 per month.
Does open-banking.io store my banking password?
No. You authenticate directly on Stadt- und Kreissparkasse Leipzig's own login page during the PSD2 consent flow. We never see or store those credentials.
Can open-banking.io read my transactions?
No. Data is decrypted only on your device with a private key you hold. Our servers keep just your public key and encrypted blobs.
How long does access to Stadt- und Kreissparkasse Leipzig last?
Up to 180 days per consent. When it expires, re-approve in the dashboard to keep syncing business or personal accounts.
