Sparkasse Schaumburg API Access & Open Banking

Pulling your Sparkasse Schaumburg balances and transactions into your own tools no longer means chasing a bank sandbox, an eIDAS certificate, or a partner agreement. open-banking.io gives you regulated PSD2 access to Sparkasse Schaumburg (BIC NOLADE21SHG) across both business and personal accounts, and it keeps the data private by design: everything is decrypted locally with a key only you hold. The platform reaches 2,600+ EU and UK banks, so Sparkasse Schaumburg can sit alongside every other account you manage.

How to connect Sparkasse Schaumburg

Connecting happens entirely in the open-banking.io dashboard — there is no API call, code, or key involved in this step.

  1. Sign up for open-banking.io and set your encryption passphrase. Your keys are generated right there on your own device, so the platform only ever sees your public key.
  2. In the dashboard, pick Sparkasse Schaumburg from the bank list and choose the account type you need — business or personal.
  3. You are redirected to Sparkasse Schaumburg's own secure login, where you approve access on the bank's PSD2 consent screen. A single consent stays valid for up to 180 days before you renew it.
  4. Your approved accounts sync straight back into your dashboard, ready to view.

Access your data

Once a connection exists, developers can optionally read it programmatically. Open the Developers page, create an API key, and export a credentials.json — this bundles the API key together with your private decryption key. From there use the CLI (openbanking accounts, openbanking transactions, openbanking sync), an SDK, or the REST API directly. Every request carries the X-Api-Key header, and each response is decrypted locally on your machine. Without your private key an API key alone returns only ciphertext — the servers cannot read it. Note that the CLI and SDK read and sync existing connections; the connection itself is always made in the dashboard.

The whole service is zero-knowledge and certificate-free, and runs at roughly EUR 3/month.

Do I need an eIDAS certificate for Sparkasse Schaumburg?

No. open-banking.io handles the regulated PSD2 layer, so you connect and read Sparkasse Schaumburg data without any certificate of your own.

Can open-banking.io see my Sparkasse Schaumburg transactions?

No. Your data is encrypted with a key generated on your device. The platform stores only your public key and never holds the means to decrypt your accounts.

Up to 180 days per approval. When it expires, you re-approve on Sparkasse Schaumburg's consent screen to keep the accounts syncing.
