Sparkasse Rhein-Haardt API Access & Open Banking

Reading account and transaction data from Sparkasse Rhein-Haardt (BIC MALADE51DKH) no longer means wrestling with PSD2 certificates or a bank sandbox. open-banking.io gives you a single, privacy-first path to your Rhein-Haardt business and personal accounts — and because every response is decrypted on your own device, the platform never sees your figures in the clear.

open-banking.io covers 2,600+ banks across the EU and UK. There are no eIDAS certificates to buy, no onboarding paperwork, and no per-bank integration to maintain. You hold the only key that can unlock your data.

How to connect Sparkasse Rhein-Haardt

Connecting happens entirely in the open-banking.io dashboard — there is no API call, code, or key involved in this step:

  1. Sign up for open-banking.io and set your encryption passphrase. Your keys are generated locally on your device, so no one else — not even open-banking.io — can derive them.
  2. In the dashboard, pick Sparkasse Rhein-Haardt and choose the account type you need (business or personal).
  3. You're redirected to Sparkasse Rhein-Haardt's own secure login to approve access under PSD2. Your consent lasts up to 180 days, after which you simply re-approve.
  4. Your accounts sync straight into your dashboard, ready to view.

Access your data

Once a connection exists, developers can optionally read it programmatically. On the Developers page, create an API key and export a credentials.json — this bundles your API key and your private decryption key. From there use the CLI (openbanking accounts, openbanking transactions, openbanking sync), an SDK, or the REST API. Requests authenticate with the X-Api-Key header, and every response is decrypted locally with your own key. The API key alone only ever returns ciphertext — without your private key, the data stays unreadable. The CLI and SDK read and sync existing connections; they don't create new ones.

All of this runs for around EUR 3/month.

Do I need a PSD2 certificate for Sparkasse Rhein-Haardt?

No. open-banking.io is certificate-free — you approve access on Sparkasse Rhein-Haardt's own consent screen instead.

Can open-banking.io see my Sparkasse Rhein-Haardt balances?

No. The service is zero-knowledge and stores only your public key. Decryption happens on your device with a key only you hold.

How long does access last?

Up to 180 days per consent, matching Sparkasse Rhein-Haardt's limit. Re-approve in the dashboard to renew.
