Sparkasse Pfaffenhofen Open Banking & API Access
Reaching account data from Sparkasse Pfaffenhofen (BIC BYLADEM1PAF) usually means wrestling with certificates and PSD2 paperwork. open-banking.io removes that friction. It is a zero-knowledge open-banking service covering 2,600+ banks across the EU and UK, where balances and transactions from your Sparkasse Pfaffenhofen accounts are decrypted on your own device with a key that never leaves it. Both business and personal accounts are supported, and a single consent stays valid for up to 180 days before you renew.
No certificates, no eIDAS registration, no bank-side developer onboarding. You approve access, and your data flows into a dashboard only you can read.
How to connect Sparkasse Pfaffenhofen
Connecting happens entirely in the open-banking.io dashboard — there is no API call or key involved in this step:
- Sign up for open-banking.io and set your encryption passphrase. Your keys are generated locally on your device.
- In the dashboard, pick Sparkasse Pfaffenhofen from the bank list and choose the account type (business or personal).
- You are redirected to Sparkasse Pfaffenhofen's own secure login, where you approve the PSD2 consent directly with the bank.
- Once approved, your accounts sync back into your dashboard, encrypted end to end.
That's the whole flow. open-banking.io never sees your banking credentials, and its servers hold only your public key.
Access your data
Once a connection exists, developers can optionally read it programmatically. On the Developers page, create an API key and export a credentials.json — this bundles the API key together with your private decryption key. From there use the CLI (openbanking accounts, openbanking transactions, openbanking sync), an SDK, or the REST API. Requests authenticate with the X-Api-Key header, and every response is decrypted locally with your own key. The CLI and SDK only read and sync existing connections; they never establish one.
Because decryption is client-side, an API key alone returns nothing but ciphertext without your private key — that is what zero-knowledge means in practice. All of this runs for around EUR 3/month.
Does open-banking.io store my banking password?
No. You authenticate on Sparkasse Pfaffenhofen's own consent screen, and only a public key is stored server-side.
Can I connect a business account?
Yes. Both business and personal Sparkasse Pfaffenhofen accounts are supported, each with consent lasting up to 180 days.
Do I need certificates or a license?
No. open-banking.io is certificate-free — no eIDAS setup or bank onboarding required.
