Sparkasse Neuss API Access & Open Banking Data
Pulling your Sparkasse Neuss balances and transactions into your own tools no longer means wrestling with eIDAS certificates or a bespoke PSD2 integration. open-banking.io gives you a single, encrypted path to Sparkasse Neuss (BIC WELADEDNXXX) that covers both business and personal accounts. You approve access once, and your data flows into a dashboard where it is decrypted on your device with a key only you hold.
The service reaches 2,600+ banks across the EU and UK, so Sparkasse Neuss can sit alongside every other account you track — with nothing sensitive ever readable on our servers.
How to connect Sparkasse Neuss
Connecting happens entirely in the open-banking.io dashboard — there is no API call, code, or key involved in this step:
- Sign up for open-banking.io and set your encryption passphrase. Your keys are generated locally on your own device.
- In the dashboard, choose Sparkasse Neuss and select the account type you want to link (business or personal).
- You are redirected to Sparkasse Neuss's own secure login, where you approve access under PSD2 consent — valid for up to 180 days before you renew it.
- Your accounts sync back into the dashboard automatically, ready to view.
Your credentials go only to Sparkasse Neuss. open-banking.io never sees them.
Access your data
Once a connection exists, developers can optionally read it programmatically. On the Developers page, create an API key and export a credentials.json — this bundles the API key with your private decryption key. From there use the CLI (openbanking accounts, openbanking transactions, openbanking sync), an SDK, or the REST API. Every request carries the X-Api-Key header, and each response is decrypted locally with your own key. An API key alone returns only ciphertext — without your private key, the data stays unreadable. The CLI and SDK read and sync existing connections; they never create one.
This is the zero-knowledge, certificate-free model: we hold only your public key, so we cannot decrypt anything. All of it runs for about EUR 3/month.
Is my Sparkasse Neuss login shared with open-banking.io?
No. You authenticate on Sparkasse Neuss's own consent screen. open-banking.io only receives the data your consent authorises.
How long does access last?
Sparkasse Neuss grants consent for up to 180 days. After that, you simply re-approve in the dashboard.
Can I access both business and personal accounts?
Yes. Sparkasse Neuss supports both account types, and each is linked and synced separately.
