Sparkasse Neckartal-Odenwald API Access & Open Banking

Reaching your Sparkasse Neckartal-Odenwald accounts programmatically no longer means wrestling with eIDAS certificates or a bank sandbox. open-banking.io gives you a single, PSD2-compliant path to your balances and transactions across 2,600+ European banks — and Sparkasse Neckartal-Odenwald (BIC SOLADES1MOS) is one of them. Both business and personal accounts are supported, and a single approval keeps your data flowing for up to 180 days before you renew.

The difference is trust. open-banking.io is zero-knowledge: your encryption keys are generated on your own device and never leave it, so the service stores only your public key and can never read or decrypt what syncs through it.

How to connect Sparkasse Neckartal-Odenwald

Connecting happens entirely inside the open-banking.io dashboard — there is no API call, key, or code involved in this step.

  1. Sign up for open-banking.io and set your encryption passphrase. This generates your personal key pair locally.
  2. In the dashboard, search for Sparkasse Neckartal-Odenwald and choose your account type — business or personal.
  3. You are redirected to Sparkasse Neckartal-Odenwald's own secure login, where you approve access (the standard PSD2 consent screen).
  4. Once approved, your accounts sync straight into your dashboard, ready to view or export.

That's it — no developer redirect, no certificate upload, no waiting on bank onboarding.

Access your data

Want to pull the data into your own tools? That's an optional step for developers, available only after the connection above exists. On the Developers page, create an API key and export a credentials.json — this bundles the API key together with your private decryption key.

From there, use the CLI (openbanking accounts, openbanking transactions, openbanking sync), an SDK, or the REST API. Requests authenticate with the X-Api-Key header, and every response is decrypted locally with your own key. The API key alone only returns ciphertext — without your private key, the data stays unreadable, even to open-banking.io. Note the CLI and SDK only read and sync existing connections; there is no connect command.

All of this runs for around EUR 3/month.

Do I need an eIDAS certificate?

No. open-banking.io is certificate-free — you approve access directly on Sparkasse Neckartal-Odenwald's login screen.

Can open-banking.io see my transactions?

No. It holds only your public key. Data is decrypted on your device with a private key only you control.

How long does access last?

Sparkasse Neckartal-Odenwald permits consent windows of up to 180 days, after which you simply re-approve.
