Sparkasse Geseke API Access & Open Banking Sync
Reach your Sparkasse Geseke accounts through a single, privacy-first workspace. open-banking.io links to Sparkasse Geseke (BIC WELADED1GES) under PSD2, covering both business and personal account types, and keeps every balance and transaction readable only by you. There are no eIDAS certificates to buy and no bank-specific paperwork — you approve access once and your data flows into your dashboard, decrypted locally with a key that never leaves your device.
How to connect Sparkasse Geseke
Connecting happens entirely inside the open-banking.io dashboard — there is no API call, endpoint, or key involved in this step:
- Sign up for open-banking.io and set your encryption passphrase. Your cryptographic keys are generated right there on your own device.
- In the dashboard, search for Sparkasse Geseke and choose the account type you need (business or personal).
- You are redirected to Sparkasse Geseke's own secure login and consent screen, where you approve access directly with the bank.
- Your accounts sync back into your dashboard. Consent lasts up to 180 days, after which you simply re-approve on the bank's screen.
Because approval takes place on Sparkasse Geseke's own system, open-banking.io never sees your banking credentials.
Access your data
Once a connection exists, developers can optionally read it programmatically. On the Developers page, create an API key and export a credentials.json — this bundles the API key with your private decryption key. From there use the CLI (openbanking accounts, openbanking transactions, openbanking sync), an SDK, or the REST API. Requests authenticate with the X-Api-Key header, and every response is decrypted locally with your own key. The CLI and SDK only read and sync connections you already made in the dashboard — they cannot create one.
This is genuine zero-knowledge design: open-banking.io holds only your public key, so its servers can never read or decrypt your Sparkasse Geseke data. An API key alone returns ciphertext; without your private key it stays unreadable. All of this runs for roughly EUR 3/month across 2,600+ supported EU/UK banks.
Do I need an eIDAS certificate for Sparkasse Geseke?
No. open-banking.io is certificate-free — you only approve access on the bank's consent screen.
Can open-banking.io staff see my transactions?
No. Data is decrypted on your device with a key only you hold; the servers store just your public key.
How long does Sparkasse Geseke access stay active?
Up to 180 days per consent, then you re-approve on Sparkasse Geseke's login screen.
