How to connect Sparkasse Fulda

  2. In the dashboard, choose Sparkasse Fulda and select the account type you need — business or personal.
  3. You are redirected to Sparkasse Fulda's own secure login, where you approve access on the bank's official consent screen.
  4. Your accounts sync straight into your dashboard, ready to view.

Sparkasse Fulda grants consent for up to 180 days, after which you simply re-approve on the bank's screen to keep the connection live.

Access your data

Once a connection exists, developers can optionally read it programmatically. On the Developers page, create an API key and export a credentials.json — this bundles the API key together with your private decryption key. From there use the CLI (openbanking accounts, openbanking transactions, openbanking sync), an SDK, or the REST API. Every request carries the X-Api-Key header, and each response is decrypted locally with your own key. An API key on its own returns only ciphertext — without your private key the data stays unreadable, even to us. The CLI and SDK only read and sync connections you have already approved; they never create one.

All of this runs for around EUR 3/month, with no eIDAS certificates or bank-developer contracts required.

Does open-banking.io ever see my Sparkasse Fulda data?
