Sparkasse Einbeck API Access & Open Banking

Reach your Sparkasse Einbeck accounts through open-banking.io, a certificate-free service covering 2,600+ banks across the EU and UK. There is no sandbox paperwork, no eIDAS certificate, and no waiting on a developer portal. You link Sparkasse Einbeck once in the dashboard, and both business and personal accounts flow in under one roof. Because open-banking.io is zero-knowledge, everything is decrypted on your own device with a key only you hold — the servers only ever see your public key and ciphertext.

How to connect Sparkasse Einbeck

Connecting happens entirely in the open-banking.io dashboard — there is no API call, code, or key involved in this step.

  1. Sign up for open-banking.io and set your encryption passphrase. Your keys are generated locally, on your device, at this moment.
  2. In the dashboard, search for Sparkasse Einbeck (BIC NOLADE21EIN) and choose whether you are linking a business or personal account.
  3. You are redirected to Sparkasse Einbeck's own secure login, where you approve access under PSD2 — your credentials go only to the bank.
  4. Your consent stays valid for up to 180 days, after which you simply re-approve on the bank's screen.
  5. Your accounts sync back into the dashboard, ready to view.

Access your data

Once a connection exists, developers can optionally read it programmatically. On the Developers page, create an API key and export a credentials.json — this bundles the API key together with your private decryption key. From there, use the CLI (openbanking accounts, openbanking transactions, openbanking sync), an SDK, or the REST API. Requests carry the X-Api-Key header, and every response is decrypted locally with your own key. An API key alone only returns ciphertext; without your private key it stays unreadable — which is exactly how zero-knowledge is meant to work. The CLI and SDK only read and sync connections you already made; they never link a bank themselves.

All of this runs for around EUR 3/month.

Is my Sparkasse Einbeck login shared with open-banking.io?

No. You enter your credentials only on Sparkasse Einbeck's own login page. open-banking.io receives the PSD2 consent, never your password.

Yes. Sparkasse Einbeck supports both account types, and you can connect each from the dashboard separately.

How long does access last before I re-approve?

Sparkasse Einbeck consent lasts up to 180 days. When it lapses, re-approve on the bank's consent screen to keep syncing.
