Evenord-Bank API Access & Open Banking (Germany)
Evenord-Bank is a Franconian cooperative bank, and reaching its account data no longer means wrestling with PSD2 certificates or hosting your own compliance stack. With open-banking.io you link Evenord-Bank once and read balances and transactions on your own terms, with every byte decrypted on your device using a key only you hold. The service covers 2,600+ EU and UK banks and costs around EUR 3/month.
Evenord-Bank supports both business and personal accounts, carries BIC GENODEF1N03, and grants access consent for up to 180 days before you re-authorise. That single window covers both accounting exports and everyday dashboards without repeated logins.
How to connect Evenord-Bank
Connecting happens entirely inside the open-banking.io dashboard — there is no API call, code, or key at this stage.
- Sign up for open-banking.io and set an encryption passphrase. Your key pair is generated locally on your own device; the servers only ever see your public key.
- In the dashboard, choose Evenord-Bank and select the account type you need — business or personal.
- You are redirected to Evenord-Bank's own secure login, where you approve access on the bank's PSD2 consent screen.
- Once approved, your Evenord-Bank accounts sync straight into your dashboard, ready to view.
Because approval happens on the bank's site, your credentials are never exposed to open-banking.io.
Access your data
Programmatic access is an optional step for developers, and only after a bank is connected. Open the Developers page, create an API key, and export a credentials.json that bundles the API key together with your private decryption key. From there use the CLI (openbanking accounts, openbanking transactions, openbanking sync), an SDK, or the REST API. Requests authenticate with the X-Api-Key header, and each response is decrypted locally with your own key — an API key alone returns only ciphertext.
This is the zero-knowledge, certificate-free advantage: open-banking.io stores your public key and nothing that can unlock your data.
Does open-banking.io need an eIDAS certificate?
No. There are no certificates to obtain or renew — you connect Evenord-Bank through the dashboard and approve access directly with the bank.
Can open-banking.io read my Evenord-Bank transactions?
No. Data is encrypted with a key generated on your device. The servers hold only your public key and can never decrypt your account data.
How often do I re-authorise Evenord-Bank?
Evenord-Bank permits consent for up to 180 days. After that window you simply re-approve on the bank's consent screen to keep syncing.
