Dithmarscher Volks- und Raiffeisenbank open banking
Pulling your Dithmarscher Volks- und Raiffeisenbank balances and transactions into your own tools no longer means wrestling with PSD2 certificates or a sandbox onboarding. open-banking.io gives you a regulated bridge to the Heide-based cooperative bank (BIC GENODEF1DVR), covering both business and personal accounts, while keeping every byte encrypted under a key that never leaves your device.
Because open-banking.io is zero-knowledge, the platform only ever holds your public key. Statements, payees and amounts are decrypted locally, so the service — and anyone who might compromise it — sees ciphertext, nothing more.
How to connect Dithmarscher Volks- und Raiffeisenbank
Connecting happens entirely in the open-banking.io dashboard, not through any API call or key:
- Sign up and set your encryption passphrase — the key pair is generated on your own device.
- In the dashboard, choose Dithmarscher Volks- und Raiffeisenbank and select the account type you need (business or personal).
- You are redirected to Dithmarscher Volks- und Raiffeisenbank's own secure login, where you approve access on the bank's consent screen (PSD2).
- Your accounts sync back into the dashboard automatically.
Consent lasts up to 180 days, after which you simply re-approve on the bank's screen to keep the connection live.
Access your data
Once a connection exists, developers can optionally read it programmatically. On the Developers page, create an API key and export a credentials.json — this bundles the API key with your private decryption key. From there use the CLI (openbanking accounts, openbanking transactions, openbanking sync), an SDK, or the REST API. Every request carries the X-Api-Key header, and each response is decrypted locally with your own key. The API key alone returns only ciphertext; without your private key, the data stays unreadable. Note there is no connect command — the CLI and SDK only read or refresh connections you already made in the dashboard.
All of this runs for roughly EUR 3/month, with no eIDAS certificate to buy or renew.
Do I need a PSD2 certificate for Dithmarscher Volks- und Raiffeisenbank?
