Brühler Bank API Access & Open Banking Integration
Reaching Brühler Bank account data no longer means wrestling with eIDAS certificates or a bespoke PSD2 stack. open-banking.io gives you a certificate-free, zero-knowledge route to your Brühler Bank accounts: your encryption keys are generated on your own device, and the service only ever holds your public key — so nobody but you can turn your synced data back into readable numbers.
Brühler Bank (BIC GENODED1BRL) is supported for both business and personal accounts, with consent lasting up to 180 days before you re-approve. That covers ongoing bookkeeping, cash-flow dashboards, and one-off reconciliation alike.
How to connect Brühler Bank
Connecting happens entirely inside the open-banking.io dashboard — there is no API call, code, or key involved in this step:
- Sign up for open-banking.io and set your encryption passphrase. Your private key is created locally, on your device.
- In the dashboard, search for and select Brühler Bank, then choose the account type you need (business or personal).
- You are redirected to Brühler Bank's own secure login, where you approve access under standard PSD2 consent.
- Once approved, your accounts sync back into your open-banking.io dashboard, ready to view.
That's it — you stay on Brühler Bank's trusted login the whole time you authorise, and open-banking.io never sees your banking credentials.
Access your data
Want to pull the data programmatically? That's an optional step you take after connecting. Open the Developers page, create an API key, and export a credentials.json — this bundles your API key together with your private decryption key. From there use the CLI (openbanking accounts, openbanking transactions, openbanking sync), an SDK, or the REST API directly.
Every request authenticates with the X-Api-Key header, and each response is decrypted locally with your own key. Because the servers are zero-knowledge, an API key on its own only ever returns ciphertext — without your private key there is nothing readable to leak. Note the CLI and SDK only read and sync connections you have already made in the dashboard; there is no connect command.
All of this runs for roughly EUR 3/month.
FAQ
Do I need an eIDAS certificate for Brühler Bank?
No. open-banking.io is certificate-free — you authorise directly on Brühler Bank's consent screen and never manage certificates yourself.
Can open-banking.io read my Brühler Bank transactions?
No. The platform is zero-knowledge and stores only your public key. Data is decrypted on your device with a key only you hold.
How long does my Brühler Bank consent last?
Up to 180 days, after which you simply re-approve access on Brühler Bank's login to keep syncing.
