Société Générale Global Cash API Access & Open Banking

Société Générale Global Cash serves corporate treasurers who need consolidated visibility across accounts, and open-banking.io gives you a clean, standardised route to that data. Instead of wrestling with bespoke corporate connectors, you link the bank once and read your balances and transactions through one PSD2-compliant channel — with the crucial difference that everything is decrypted locally, on your own device, with a key only you hold.

Société Générale Global Cash (BIC SOGEFRPPXXX) is supported for business accounts, with a maximum consent lifetime of 180 days before you re-authorise. Because open-banking.io is certificate-free, there are no eIDAS certificates to buy or QWAC files to manage — the platform handles the regulated plumbing while your keys stay with you.

How to connect Société Générale Global Cash

Connecting happens entirely in the open-banking.io dashboard — there is no API call, code, or key involved in this step.

  1. Sign up for open-banking.io and set your encryption passphrase. Your cryptographic keys are generated on your own device; open-banking.io only ever sees your public key.
  2. In the dashboard, search for and select Société Générale Global Cash, then choose the business account type.
  3. You are redirected to Société Générale Global Cash's own secure login, where you approve access directly with the bank (standard PSD2 consent, valid up to 180 days).
  4. Your accounts then sync into your dashboard, ready to view.

That's the whole flow — the account holder always approves on the bank's own screen, never through a third-party redirect.

Access your data

Once connected, developers can optionally read the data programmatically. On the Developers page, create an API key and export a credentials.json — this bundles the API key and your private decryption key. From there use the CLI (openbanking accounts, openbanking transactions, openbanking sync), an SDK, or the REST API. Requests authenticate with the X-Api-Key header, and every response is decrypted locally with your own key. Note: the CLI and SDK only read and sync connections you have already made in the dashboard — there is no connect command.

All of this runs for around EUR 3/month. Because the service is zero-knowledge, an API key alone returns only ciphertext — without your private key, nobody, including open-banking.io, can read a thing.
